"As Unexpected As The People Who Drive It"
The Camry has a simple yet very comfortable and inviting interior cabin. Upgrades such as the leather-wrapped steering wheel add a luxurious feel. The driver seat is 8-way power adjustable to ensure comfortable driving. The seats were quite unique in the Camry, they had blue inserts and blue stitching that I have never seen in any other vehicle. A little hard to explain what they resembled but they were extremely cool.
The rear seats offered good legroom and I could easily fit 4 adults comfortably. Also available is the dual zone climate control to ensure both driver and passenger can adjust their temperature settings. The rear seats are 60/40 split folding allowing for increased cargo room when the trunk space alone doesn’t cut it. Toyota loaded the Camry with user-friendly technology such as wireless smartphone charging, push start technology so you never have to fumble with your keys and a standard 6-inch touchscreen display with a backup camera, and power moonroof. Overall the entire interior is simply functional and inviting with easy to use controls at your fingertips.
Not much has changed for the Camry however; the 2016 Camry looks much sportier than previous years. It has a nice stance and looks clean with the accented body and smooth fascia lines along the body. The more aggressive grill, 18inch rims, and rear spoiler add even more flare to the car.
The Camry featured a 2.4 liter 4 cylinder engine with a six-speed automatic transmission. Toyotas fuel rating is an amazing 9.8/7.1L/100km city and highway. The four-cylinder engine produces 178hp and 170ft-lb of torque which was perfect for most city driving conditions. Considering the Camry did not weigh that much the four-cylinder engine was more than sufficient and proved to be quite nimble and punchy off the line. Also available is the hybrid model and the 3.5L V6 model producing 268hp.
The Camry features a pretty rigid frame with a tight suspension that gave it more of a sporty feel when it came to driving, it was not overly stiff by any means and still maintained a comfortable ride.
Safety is a top priority for Toyota so in addition to standard safety features such as 10 airbags, ABS, vehicle stability control, traction controls they also offer blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, and brake assist.
