“Put these good looks to work”
The 2017 Ridgeline is completely redesigned inside and out. It now features push start technology with proximity sensing so you never have to worry about taking the key out of your pocket. Once inside, the cabin is spacious and roomy with plenty of space for all passengers. Not only is there plenty of storage in the truck bed but the rear seats fold all the way up for added storage.
Both front and back seats are heated to ensure everyone remains nice and toasty in the cold weather. Furthermore, the tri-zone automatic climate control lets the driver, front passenger and rear passengers choose the right temperature for them. The remote start feature was excellent for those cold mornings when you don’t want to sit in the truck while it warms up although I struggled to find the auto start settings to configure to my own liking. The Ridgeline also comes loaded with technology that is controlled by using the center 8 inch display and audio system featuring Bluetooth as well as the steering wheel mounted controls. Navigation was easy to use, similar to a tablet it allowed you to use the pinch and zoom motions.
The drivers cluster display is 7 inches and allows you to easily see audio and vehicle information like engine oil life, trip range, and any warning messages such as low tire pressure. To add to the lengthy list of options already mentioned, the Ridgeline featured a 540 watt truck-bed audio system that is perfect for playing loud music no matter where you go. To summarize it overall, the Ridgeline is always ready for a good time with plenty of space for everyone inside and enough technology to get you there and back efficiently and seamlessly.
The 2017 Honda Ridgeline is completely redesigned. The characteristic much sleeker than the previous versions, the LED head and taillights really compliment the new look. Not only does the Ridgeline look much better it functions much better. For instance, the dual-action tailgate allows you to open it like a regular pickup and lay it flat or you can choose to have it swing out to the side to make loading and unloading easier.
One of my favourite features was the in-bed trunk! Yes that’s right, Honda included a lockable trunk in the bed of the Ridgeline for added storage space, to ensure you can always see what’s in the back they included a rear cargo lighting system. Overall a very bold and sophisticated look for a unique pickup truck, Honda has done a great job redefining the Ridgeline.
The ridgeline has one smooth drive! This is ensured by the completely independent front and rear suspensions coupled with the intelligent AWD system with torque vectoring which allows for increased responsiveness and handling. It offers 4 different driving conditions; snow, sand, mud and normal. The truck itself is powered by a 3.5L direct injected i-VTEC V6 engine producing 280 horse power matted with a six speed automatic transmission. To top it off, the Ridgeline is capable to of towing 5,000lbs. This truck is able to deliver great performance that is suitable for every day driving all while giving you good old Honda reliability and efficiency, the Ridgeline will give you a combined average of 11.3L/100Km (12.8 HWY and 9.5 city).
Safety is always top of mind with Honda. Features include vehicle stability and traction control, hill start assist, lane keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot information, rear cross traffic alert, tire pressure monitoring system, adjustable seatbelts with automatic tensioning system, six standard airbags, blind spot assist and special advanced body structure to help disperse frontal impact energy for both occupants and pedestrians.
